Description
Ostinato for Four Bassoons (2019) began as a personal exploration of texture within an unusual wind instrumentation. The quartet quickly turned into something else – an undiscovered narrative waiting to be told. In the midst of this difficult compositional process, I surprised myself as much as I hope to surprise the audience of this work.
Ostinato is a challenging show-stopper for a daring, adventurous bassoonists. The full score and parts of the 10 minute piece are available in this special print bundle which is bound and signed by the composer himself.
