“Clink” (MUS 329E)

Program note

Clink (2018) is a fixed media composition — a manipulation and organization of 75 different sound samples produced by colliding, dropping, rubbing, and tapping two metal keys against each other. The samples were recorded with a Zoom H5 handheld recorder.

Performance history

The composition was completed as a final project for MUS 329E (Introduction to Electronic Media) and premiered on December 14th, 2018 in concert with student works at Imagine Art in Austin, Texas.
